Anodizing uses simple, water-based chemicals that create no harmful by-products. Instead of polluting, anodized by-products are recycled. While liquid elements are recycled back into the anodizing process, solid by-products move on to aid other industries. As a result of this efficiency, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency named anodizing an environmentally friendly process.

Floturn has a well-ventilated facility, in which employees are carefully trained and protect themselves with safety gear. Again, due to its water-based and non-destructive chemical processes, anodizing is a safe process for its workers and for the environment.
